Central City Health (CCH) has been serving the under-housed and at-risk population in metro Detroit since 1972, by providing integrated healthcare services. Our services include primary and pediatric care, dental care, behavioral and SUD care, supportive housing, and community re-entry services, to name a few. The Peer Support Specialist provides peer support services to clients experiencing mental illness, chronic health condition(s) and/or homelessness.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Oversee all aspects of maintenance and janitorial services to ensure a clean and safe environment. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Orders janitorial and maintenance supplies. Performs light maintenance and general building repairs. Develops maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance schedules. Maintain records in accordance with Central City Integrated Health standards. Prioritize and monitor work orders for repair, maintenance and development projects. Conducts a weekly assessment of facilities and grounds. 24-hour call. Responds to building emergencies. Submit all internal and external compliance reports accurately and in a timely manner. Solicit and review bids for major repair work. Coordinate inspections with authorities to ensure compliance (ordinances and codes) Assure safe and efficient operation of all building mechanical systems. Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects. Trains janitorial staff Organize and oversee the schedules and work of janitorial staff. Attends all Environmental Care/safety committee meetings Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Current Michigan Chauffeur's Driver's License required Must pass a background check clearance Must adhere to State of Michigan driving laws, evidenced by maintaining an insurable driving record in accordance with auto insurance carrier required. Experience working with patients exhibiting persistent mental illness preferred. Must work cooperatively with all involved in the delivery of service to patients.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
: Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, walking, sitting, and/or standing for prolonged periods of time is required. Normal office environment with exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures. May work in environments, which may include potential exposure to communicable diseases and unpleasant odors. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Must be available to work all hours scheduled. "This is an outline of the primary responsibilities of this position. As with everything in life, things change.
