Job Description

This position is in Region 4, Gulf of America Division, Science Integration and Analysis Branch. About Region 4: Region 4 This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
NOTE:
You must meet qualification requirements, including any requirements described in the Education section, by the closing date of this announcement. In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time
  • specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as conducting water quality and habitat analyses; supporting water quality protection and habitat restoration/conservation, including high priority initiatives; and advising leadership, technical staff, and the public on water and habitat issues.
You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Grants Management Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines Scientific Research Technical Knowledge (Related to Position)
  • Data Literacy and Analysis Scientific Integrity Accountability Quality Assurance Applications and Programs (Related to Position) Critical Thinking
  • Environmental Pollutants and Hazards
  • Biological Science Environmental Engineering Physical Science
  • You will be evaluated on these critical competencies.
