About the
Position:
Serves as Natural Resources Manager at the Sardis Lake Field Office, a major reservoir project with complex and complicated natural resource and recreation programs that are subject to numerous problems. Develops and executes the planning and management of natural and man-made resources and the operation and maintenance of all structures, roads and appurtenances.Qualifications:

Additional information about transcripts is in this document . Basic Requirement for General Natural Resources Management & Biological Sciences Series, 0401 A.Degree:
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B.Combination of Education and Experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above to qualify for this position, you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Implementing a variety of natural resource management programs for protection of serviced area(s); 2) Reviewing requests for leases, licenses, and special use permits for all equipment and lands in serviced area(s); 3) Coordinating the management of a variety of facilities and visitor information centers; and 4) Monitoring plans for equipment and resource needs for successful project operation and maintenance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
