Looking for your next opportunity to grow your career? This is your lucky day! Westaff is looking for an Environmental Coordinator for a local company in Butte, Montana!

Full-time Shift:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay:
$75,000 annual salary
What You Will Do:
Collect manage and synthesize environmental monitoring data Prepare graphs, charts GIS maps, and statistical analyses to support data interpretation, reporting and regulatory compliance Conduct environmental effects assessments and prepare written technical reports for both internal use and submittal to regulatory agencies Review and evaluate field-collected data to support gap analyses and selection of remedial or mitigation options Assist with preparation of materials for community involvement activities and public/stakeholder meetings Troubleshoot and maintain environmental monitoring systems and databases Monitor performance reports for trends and conditions Identify and recommend corrective actions Participate in peer review of environmental documents prepared by other staff or consultants Work with contractors and vendors to coordinate services and equipment Assist with regulatory permitting activities and compliance audits Provide support in identifying site risks and hazards and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risks
What You Will Bring:
Bachelors degree in environmental engineering or closely related field required Zero to five years of experience in environmental compliance and/or permitting required Stronge verbal and written communication skills must be comfortable speaking in public meetings and conversing with agency officials in humble yet confident manner Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with GIS software (Arc
GIS, QGIS
) and statistical tools (Excel, R, or Python) Ability to use and manage environmental databases (e.g. EQuIS, EarthSoft) Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Proven ability to work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously Basic knowledge or mining operations and general environmental monitoring techniques Ability to work outdoors in variable conditions and terrain Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to exercise sound judgement and discretion Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across disciplines
