Restoration Field Technician - Seasonal Biohabitats - 4.8 Milwaukie, OR Job Details Seasonal From $24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits On-the-job training Qualifications Adhering to traffic regulations Driver's License Full Job Description Biohabitats, a leading conservation planning, ecological restoration, regenerative design, and construction firm is seeking a Restoration Field Technician - Seasonal to join our self-perform construction team in our Portland, Oregon location. Our self-perform construction crews are led by restoration specialists who manage projects from a values and people first mindset. This opportunity is for a Green Street Infrastructure project in the Portland Metro area during the summer of 2026. Estimated timeframe is June 1 - October 15, 2026. The project's focus is natural area vegetation maintenance and irrigation, including invasive vegetation identification and removal. Successful candidates for the position have experience in and enjoy performing a variety of field and construction tasks, but prior experience is not required. Applicants must be self-motivated and passionate about the environment. They should be sincerely interested in physically restoring the earth and inspiring ecological stewardship. Responsibilities Green Street infrastructure and natural area vegetation maintenance and irrigation. Invasive species identification and removal. Native species maintenance. Additional project responsibilities, as required. Safe driving. Qualities, Experience, and Knowledge Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and variable terrain. Experience working on a crew and following directions. Ability to perform physical labor, safely use hand and power tools, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a public-facing role, respectfully representing Biohabitats and our clients. Driver's license required - ability to follow all traffic laws. Interest in native and invasive vegetation with on-the-job training available. Commitment to Biohabitats' safety program. Education No formal education required Location Portland, Oregon Compensation and Employment Hourly; expected 10 hours per day, 4 days per week. Anticipated to start as soon as possible. Compensation starts at $24/hour..
