Position Overview Clemens Food Group is seeking an Environmental Specialist to serve as the site subject matter expert for environmental compliance at our Hatfield, PA facility. This role owns and leads environmental programs across wastewater, air permitting, and waste management, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. In this position, you will partner closely with operations and engineering to proactively identify risks, resolve compliance issues, and drive continuous improvement. This is a high-impact role with visibility to site leadership and direct interaction with regulatory agencies. Key Responsibilities Lead environmental compliance programs for the facility Ensure compliance with EPA, state, and local environmental regulations Manage wastewater treatment systems and water quality programs Oversee air permitting and air compliance programs Administer hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs in accordance with RCRA Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, including inspections and audits Prepare and submit environmental reports and compliance documentation Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions Support environmental health and safety initiatives as needed Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce environmental impact and cost Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field 5 to 7 plus years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Hands-on experience with wastewater treatment systems and permitting Experience managing air compliance programs Strong knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations Experience supporting environmental health and safety programs preferred Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead without direct authority Benefits Clemens Food Group offers a competitive total rewards package designed to support employees and their families, including: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match and retirement planning support Paid time off and holidays Career development and growth opportunities Employee wellness and support programs
