Job Description

Job Title:
Environmental Scientist Job Description Manage environmental projects from proposal development through final reporting. Lead and oversee investigation and remediation field activities, ensuring adherence to environmental standards and project requirements. Responsibilities Manage strategic project oversight, including budgetary management and client interaction. Lead and mentor a team of project managers and environmental scientists. Perform and oversee field sampling, including soil, groundwater, air, and sediment as needed. Prepare and author site work plans, investigation reports, remedial action plans, proposals, and change orders. Ensure compliance with NJDEP and OSHA regulations and client health and safety requirements. Provide project management for medium to large sites, including budget tracking and schedule adherence. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, permitting agencies, and the public. Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements. Support immediate and incidental response work for client releases. Essential Skills Experience in environmental science, geology, or environmental engineering. Proficiency in report writing and environmental compliance. Experience with NJDEP and PADEP regulations. Strong project management skills, including budget tracking and schedule adherence. Experience performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM standards.

certification and OSHA 40 training. Experience in soil and groundwater sampling and environmental monitoring. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of environmental consulting experience. Direct experience with NJ environmental projects. Strong working knowledge of the LSRP program. Experience with LNAPL discovery, delineation, recovery/remediation, and reporting. Comfortable managing multiple active sites. Strong technical writing and client communication skills. Work Environment The work environment is collegial and offers career advancement opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Holly, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.25 - $33.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
