ABOUT THE POSITION
New York, New York | Newark, New Jersey | Manasquan, New Jersey VHB's Site Investigation & Remediation team is seeking an Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer to join our New York City office. At VHB, our Site Investigation & Remediation (SI&R) practice is dedicated to delivering comprehensive services that investigate, manage and mitigate environmental risks while satisfying regulatory requirements and complex project variables. Join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing how we deliver technically excellent and thoughtful SIR services to our clients. You'll be instrumental in creating cost-effective, multi-disciplinary solutions and providing essential SI&R support for some of Vermont's most notable development and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Develop and manage effective site investigation and remediation field programs Provide hands-on support during field exploration and testing Interpret and communicate investigation findings Leverage technology to support data management and visualization Participate in environmental due diligence activities Write technical reports, correspondence, notes, and memoranda Skills & Abilities Ability to work in office and field settings (this position requires traveling within New York City, New York State, and nearby states). Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Self-motivated with abilities to problem solve and work independently Documents work in a detailed manner and keeps data and other information organized Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, experience with Auto
CAD, ESRI
ArcGIS Pro and EQuIS or other laboratory data management software a plus Skills & Abilities Ability to work in office and field settings (this position requires traveling within New York City, New York State, and nearby states). experience Minimum Qualifications BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or Civil or Environmental Engineering 1-3 years of professional environmental/remediation consulting experience required OSHA 40 hr.
HAZWOPER
certification and annual refresher certifications required after 30 days of employment Valid driver's license Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New York City and New Jersey is $71,000-80,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
