Your impact When it comes to environmental consulting, we're focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We're seeking a junior Geoscientist or Engineer to support brownfield re-development projects, implementing characterization and remediation solution services for industrial and government clients. You'll apply your technical experience in environmental characterization and remediation to plan and execute tasks while championing safety and quality. The preferred candidate will be based in Metro Vancouver with the flexibility to work independently at home or in teams at the office. You'll aid in the planning and execution of field investigation activities, interpretation of data, and preparation of Phase I & II reports, conceptual site models, and other technical reports. You will support project execution through environmental sample collection (such as soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and soil vapour) and reporting. You'll be supported by a diverse group of industry leading technical experts available through our multiple communities of practice. You'll drive innovation and promote the use of digital tools and electronic data capture. You'll build strong relationships with our clients and work with client account managers to position and win new work. You'll demonstrate continuous alignment to Jacobs core values to achieve our clients' goals. Here's what you'll need Engineer-in-training (EIT), geoscientist-in-training (GIT) or the eligibility to obtain this status with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Other Individuals classified as Qualified Environmental Professionals (e.g. registered with BC Institute of Agrologists or the Association of the Chemical Profession of BC) will also be considered. 0 - 3 years of professional experience related to environmental site assessments & characterization, risk assessments, remediation, and site closure. Ability to travel and participate in remote client/project site visits work and adapt to unpredictable and/or inclement field conditions and changing schedules. Be physically fit to do fieldwork within various facilities up to 90% of the time, and when required wear a half-face, full-face, and/or supplied-air respirator. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Enthusiasm for environmental investigations and reclamation Curiosity to find better solutions, embrace digital solutions and drive innovation towards a more sustainable world. Must hold valid Canadian driver's license Computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
Practical field experience including soil logging, monitoring well installation, groundwater and soil sampling Familiarity with the BC Environmental Management Act and BC Contaminated Sites Regulation Familiarity with environmental software, including electronic capture of field data #LI-AC4

Posted Salary Range:
Upper 116,000.00 The base salary range for this position is $66,300.00 to $116,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
