Your impact As part of our well established and highly successful team of over 70 ground contamination specialists throughout the UK and Europe. You will work across a number of industrial sectors, delivering strategic subject matter expert advice and innovative geo-environmental solutions to ensure projects and clients compliance with all environmental liabilities.
Your remit will include:
Develop and implement strategies for land quality assessment and remediation. Deliver remediation strategies (excavation, soil treatment, capping layers, gas protection). Support the implementation of ground investigations and geo-environmental assessments to evaluate land contamination and environmental risks. Support geo-environmental assessments. Undertake Quantitative Risk Assessments. Design remediation strategies (excavation, soil treatment, capping layers, gas protection) Ensure compliance with UK planning, environmental, and regulatory requirements Produce validation reports to discharge planning conditions. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and team members. Here's what you'll need We would warmly welcome applications from candidates with a good mix of the following, skills, experience and attributes: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrable experience in geo-environmental consultancy. A Proven track record in supporting industrial sector projects across the full project lifecycle. Sound understanding of Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment approaches Excellent understanding of environmental legislation and risk assessment methodologies (including UK and international site evaluation and due diligence standards such as ASTM) Good understanding of emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
