You are a highly experienced project and/or program manager with a deep technical background in investigations related to Materials and Explosives of Concern (MEC), Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH) and Hazardous Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) investigations. You are experienced with being responsible for the full lifecycle of complex federal projects, ensuring they are executed safely, on schedule, and in strict accordance with
CERCLA/RCRA
requirements. You also have the ability to translate complex technical data into clear reports for non-technical stakeholders. What does your day/week look like? You will oversee large-scale MMRP and HTRW projects, including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies (RI/FS) and Remedial Actions You will provide senior-level review of Work Plans, Accident Prevention Plans (APP), and Explosives Safety Submissions (ESS) You will ensure all site activities comply with DoD, DA, and EPA regulations, specifically focusing on the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) protocols You will manage the identification and mitigation of chemical and explosive hazards; oversee the handling of HTRW materials You will make periodic site visits to active remediation areas You will be the primary point of contact for federal clients (USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC) and regulatory agencies You will be responsible for P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and subcontractor procurement What do you need for this amazing opportunity? A bachelor's degree at an accredited college in environmental science, engineering or geology (advanced degrees and certifications, including USACE Quality Management [CQM] certification, are preferred) A minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental remediation, with at least 7 years specifically dedicated to MMRP/munitions projects Demonstrated experience with: project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management MEC/DGM (Digital Geophysical Mapping) and Advanced Geophysical Classification (AGC) ASR (Archives Search Reports) and Explosive Safety Standards (NOSSA/DDESB) management of HTRW sites, with an emphasis on CERCLA, RCRA, and the Munitions Rule An unwavering commitment to a culture of UXO safety and responsible HTRW handling protocols 40-Hour
OSHA HAZWOPER
certification (and current 8-hour refresher) Ability to pass a baseline medical surveillance physical Good written and oral communication skills, problem-solving abilities and skill in navigating "unforeseen site conditions," without compromising safety or budget Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances A valid driver's license and safe driving record Sound good?
