Prevention Specialist

The Prevention Specialist is responsible for the delivery of drug and alcohol prevention and intervention services as funded. These duties will require public speaking, classroom instruction, and interaction with a variety of people with an emphasis on youth. The position may also be responsible for assisting in the coordination, facilitation, and preparation for special events, fund-raisers, health fairs, community events, and meetings as well as other duties as deemed necessary by Coordinator. Specialists are required to maintain specific reporting procedures and have the ability to accurately and thoroughly report evaluation data. Education and/or Experience Bachelor degree required. Knowledge of non-profit organizations preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A person in this position must be reliable, dynamic, articulate, flexible, and professional.
