Biotesting Inc. dba Home Biotesting is your complete Solution for Environmental Consulting Services & Industrial Hygiene in Southern California. We service residential, commercial, and industrial properties, testing for environmental hazards and providing in-depth reporting and consulting by our licensed specialists. We are located in Tarzana, CA, in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, and service much of Southern California. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, professional service to our clients. Job Description:
We are hiring an Entry-Level Environmental Field Technician to assist with environmental inspections and sampling at residential and commercial properties. This is an entry-level training position with opportunities to gain hands-on field experience, work with licensed staff, and obtain industry-related certifications and licenses. New hires are expected to transition into field training after completing initial onboarding, safety training, and required introductory courses. Independent field assignments will depend on training progress, licensing requirements, and company approval. Projects may include assessing site conditions, collecting samples of suspect materials, documenting findings, communicating with clients, and assisting with report preparation and administrative follow-up.
Responsibilities:
Assist with environmental inspections and sampling for mold, asbestos, lead, microbial, and industrial hygiene-related projects Coordinate with internal team and external clientele regarding inspections while keeping all parties' best interests in mind General administrative support as needed; not limited to scheduling, day-to-day paperwork, customer service, and other various office-related tasks Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company and industry procedures, rules, and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred Must have a valid CA driver's license, good driving record, and be willing to travel Must be able to safely lift and carry boxes (up to 50 lbs.). Must be able to safely load and unload equipment into a car Must be neat & clean, and always maintain a professional appearance on sites Basic computer knowledge/ability to learn and/or experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive), Slack, etc. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening, conducted after a conditional offer of employment and in accordance with applicable law
Preferred Qualifications:
Excels with Project Management, Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Organized, follows direction well, etc. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, G suite, Slack, Gocanvas, CRMs, etc. Prior field, construction, restoration, inspection, laboratory, or customer-facing experience is a plus
