PROtect, LLC is hiring Environmental Monitoring & Mitigation (EMM) Apprentices in Fort Lupton, Colorado to begin a hands-on career in the oil and gas / environmental compliance industry. This is an entry-level, paid apprenticeship with on-the-job training focused on Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR), emissions monitoring, and EPA compliance. You'll work onsite at industrial facilities alongside experienced technicians, using portable analyzers to identify and reduce VOC and HAP emissions in accordance with EPA Method 21. You'll be responsible for monitoring equipment routes, calibrating analyzers, identifying leaks, and documenting emissions data. This role is ideal for candidates interested in: Environmental work Oil & gas field operations Industrial or hands-on careers Entry-level technician or apprentice roles Key Responsibilities Monitor industrial components for emissions using portable analyzers Perform LDAR monitoring per EPA Method 21 Calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure accurate readings Identify leaks and apply process leak tags Upload daily monitoring data and complete emissions reports Communicate findings with site and plant personnel Follow all safety policies and report incidents or near-misses Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

At least 18 years old High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel) Preferred (Not Required): Experience in oil & gas, chemical plants, or refineries Familiarity with handheld/PDA data collection devices Mechanical aptitude or hands-on work experience Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail Safety-first mindset Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Comfortable with physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, stairs) Willingness to wear respiratory protection and PPE Dependable, punctual, and able to work extended hours when needed Working Conditions Outdoor and industrial environments Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and loud noise ( >85 dB) Climbing heights up to 300 feet and scaffolding Physical exertion for extended periods PPE and safety harness use required (must meet weight restrictions) Schedule 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour shifts per week) Overtime and occasional weekends may be required Compensation Starting pay for entry-level technicians begins at $20/hour
