Environmental Test Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Test Technician to join our team in Elmhurst, IL. This entry-level opportunity in the environmental industry offers the potential for growth and advancement within 6 to 12 months. Responsibilities Perform third-party EPA air emissions testing and monitoring for industrial or manufacturing clients. Transport, set up, and break down testing equipment at job sites using a company vehicle. Record data and collect samples accurately. Conduct equipment calibrations to ensure accurate testing. Assist engineers in air quality testing procedures. Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols. Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming jobs. Maintain and clean testing equipment regularly. Study for and obtain certifications for EPA Test Methods 1-5 using company resources. Essential Skills OSHA 10 certification (training provided and paid for by company). Mechanical aptitude and team player mentality. Comfortable working at heights up to 400 feet and lifting up to 75 lbs. Ability to work in a field-based, hands-on position. Additional Skills & Qualifications B.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Geology or related field preferred. Previous experience in field testing, maintenance, industrial, or hands-on roles is preferred. Minimum High School Diploma required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmhurst, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
