Environmental Test Technician

Job Title:

Environmental Test Technician Environmental Test Technician opening in Crown Point, IN. Entry-level position with training and opportunity for advancement to Test Engineer I role ($26.00/Hour) within 6-to-12 months. Candidates must be comfortable with regional travel and working outdoors. Company vehicle provided for travel. All travel time, expenses, lodging + additional $72 per diem are paid by company.

Responsibilities:

Perform air emissions testing and monitoring services at a variety of client industrial facilities. Transport and set up testing equipment using a company vehicle; dismantle equipment post-testing. Record and analyze data, collect samples. Calibrate testing equipment and assist engineers in conducting air quality testing procedures. Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols. Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming assignments. Maintain and clean testing equipment. Gain proficiency in EPA Test Methods 1-5 using company resources.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field is preferred. Previous experience in a field testing, engineering, construction, industrial or relevant hands-on role. Experience using instruments to collect samples and record data. Team player with strong initiative and excellent communication skills. Ability to travel Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Project Manager. Expected travel is 70% over the course of the year. Majority of client sites are located in Midwest region and drivable. Typical projects require 2-to-5 days out of town during the standard work week, Monday-Friday. Frequent overtime required when traveling, paid at 1.5x rate.
