Environmental Technician

Environmental Test Technician opening with an environmental consulting firm in Danville, IN. Entry-level position with training and opportunity for advancement to Test Engineer I role ($26.00/Hour) within first 6-to-12 months. Candidates must be comfortable with travel and working outdoors.

Responsibilities:

Perform air emissions testing and monitoring services at a variety of client industrial facilities. Record and analyze data, collect samples. Transport and set up testing equipment using a company vehicle; dismantle equipment post-testing. Calibrate testing equipment and assist engineers in conducting air quality testing procedures. Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols. Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming assignments. Gain proficiency in EPA Test Methods 1-5 using company resources.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field preferred. Previous experience in a field-based role. Team player with strong initiative Mechanical attitude. Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Project Manager. Expected travel is 70% over the course of the year. Majority of client sites located in Indiana/surrounding states and drivable. Company vehicle provided for travel. All travel time, expenses, lodging + additional $72 per diem are paid by company. Typical travel projects require 2-to-5 days out of town during the standard work week, Monday-Friday. Overtime is common when traveling, paid at 1.5x rate. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50
