Job Description

Overview Margo Environmental is an environmental consulting company located in Spring Lake, Michigan. We do a lot of great things here and our work environment is different each day. Margo Environmental is actively seeking an Environmental Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented and will possess the skills necessary to handle various environmental projects and sampling projects. This is a part-time field sampling position; however, the position may grow into full time work with potential for a project management role with increased opportunity. Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental field work including soil, sediment, groundwater, soil gas and wastewater sampling, drilling oversight and soil boring logging, soil boring and monitoring well installation and coordinate drilling services
  • Field work for this position will be year-round regardless of weather
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools, as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all tasks Skills/Requirements
  • Experience in the environmental consulting industry is desired
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Effective written/verbal and organizational skills
  • Commitment and adherence to company policy and health and safety program
  • Familiarity with power tools and hand tools for environmental tasks
  • Ability to succeed in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented and good problem solving skills
  • Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
Experience:
environmental consulting/field sampling: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training (Preferred) Ability to
