Job Description

Overview The LDAR Technician is responsible for conducting leak detection and repair activities at oil and gas facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. This role focuses on identifying emissions sources, documenting findings, and supporting timely repairs while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities Conduct leak detection surveys on valves, flanges, connectors, pumps, and other equipment using approved monitoring instruments (e.g., OGI cameras, flame ionization detectors) Perform routine inspections in accordance with LDAR programs and regulatory requirements Identify and tag leaking components and coordinate repairs within required timelines Document inspection data accurately using handheld devices or LDAR software systems Maintain compliance with EPA and state environmental regulations (e.g., OOOOa, OOOOb, OOOOc) Assist with emissions reporting and data validation Perform re-monitoring to verify successful repairs Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment Follow all safety procedures and site-specific requirements Communicate findings with operations, maintenance, and environmental teams Qualifications Previous LDAR, or environmental experience required. Experience with OGI cameras (e.g., FLIR) or monitoring devices preferred. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR check, fit for duty and agility.
