Are you ready to kick-start your career in environmental science and make a real-world impact? Talon/LPE is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Environmental Technician to join our team. In this role, youll work alongside environmental engineers and scientists, using your skills and passion to solve environmental challenges and help shape a cleaner, greener future.
What You'll Do:
Fieldwork:
Conduct environmental monitoring, collect and document soil and groundwater samples, and perform site inspections.
Equipment Management:
Operate and maintain field equipment, ensuring tools and vehicles are in top condition.
Site Maintenance:
Keep jobsites clean and presentable, safely load and transport waste, and adhere to QA/QC procedures.
Compliance:
Follow all federal, state, and local environmental guidelines and regulations.
Communication:
Professionally interact with clients and document all activities for accurate reporting.
Travel:
Visit remote and diverse job sites, working outdoors in various weather conditions.
What Were Looking For:
Education & Experience:
0-2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent hands-on training.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork.
Attributes:
Self-starter, problem-solver, and team player with a strong work ethic.
Requirements:
Valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record. Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug test. Ability to perform heavy lifting (minimum 50 lbs.) and work outdoors year-round. Availability to travel as needed. Why Join Talon/LPE?
