Our model is built on active rounding, direct engagement with clinical teams, and addressing risk in real time. This is not a desk based role. You will be present in patient care areas, working alongside staff and leadership to drive measurable improvement. Position Summary The Infection Prevention Manager serves as the primary Infection Preventionist for an assigned acute care hospital, with full ownership and accountability for the infection prevention program at that site. This role operates independently and is responsible for surveillance, rounding, regulatory compliance, and program performance. In addition to managing a primary site, this position provides oversight and direction to Infection Preventionists at partner facilities. This includes reviewing performance, ensuring consistency in surveillance and documentation, and aligning practices across sites. This support is structured and planned not reactive or open-ended. This role is designed for someone who is confident working autonomously, applies NHSN criteria with precision, and can step into a leadership role without losing control of their own program. Key Responsibilities Own and manage all infection prevention activities at an assigned acute care hospital Conduct routine, high impact rounds focused on invasive devices, isolation practices, and high-risk areas Apply NHSN criteria accurately, including CLABSI, CAUTI, CDI, and other HAI definitions Lead site level infection prevention strategy, including performance improvement and regulatory readiness Partner directly with hospital leadership, physicians, and clinical teams Provide oversight and direction to Infection Preventionists at additional facilities Review data and ensure consistency in surveillance, documentation, and reporting across sites Maintain compliance with CDC, NHSN, CMS, The Joint Commission, and state regulatory requirements Provide real time coaching and feedback to clinical staff Travel Primary responsibility is one assigned hospital Additional travel is scheduled and limited to support partner sites Qualifications Minimum 5 years of infection prevention experience in GACH setting. CIC required Master's degree (MPH, Nursing, or related field) required Strong working knowledge of NHSN surveillance and reporting Proven ability to operate independently and manage a full infection prevention program Experience providing guidance or oversight to other IPs preferred
