  • Contract Job Summary Conducts infection prevention and control activities through surveillance, analysis, reporting, education, and policy development to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards while supporting employee health programs, infection control initiatives, workplace safety, and continuous quality improvement. Job Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred Two years of acute care experience: Preferred Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification:

Preferred Key Responsibilities Conduct surveillance, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Develop, review, and update infection prevention policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Monitor infection trends, identify risk factors, and implement infection prevention and control strategies. Investigate and report infection outbreaks and support corrective actions. Perform infection prevention rounds and provide education and recommendations to healthcare personnel. Coordinate infection prevention orientation and ongoing education for new and existing staff. Participate in infection control committees, quality improvement initiatives, and performance monitoring activities. Plan and deliver employee education on infection prevention, exposure control, and workplace safety. Conduct employee health screenings, immunization reviews, and health assessments. Perform initial assessments of employee work-related injuries and illnesses and coordinate Workers' Compensation reporting and follow-up. Monitor employee exposure to communicable diseases and maintain employee health records. Collaborate with Human Resources and clinical departments to support employee health and regulatory compliance. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. #Workwolf
