$36.79 - $49.67 / hour Summary The Clinical Epidemiologist supports hospital-wide efforts to improve patient outcomes by applying epidemiologic methods to monitor, investigate, and prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), adverse events, and other safety concerns. This role collaborates closely with clinical teams, infection preventionists, and quality improvement staff to ensure data-driven decision-making and regulatory compliance. Additionally, this person will serve as a triad partner with the System Medical Director of Epidemiology and the Manager of Infection Prevention.
Requirements Education:
Masters or Doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field required.
Experience:
Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting strongly preferred. Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical data systems preferred.
Certification:
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
License:
N/A Other:
Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with NHSN reporting, CDC guidelines, and infection control and regulatory standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across disciplines. Ability to synthesize and present data to both technical and non-technical audiences preferred.
