Job Description

Responsibilities:
-The Staff Development Nurse is an active, skilled member of the clinical leadership team who is committed to providing residents with quality healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for successful orientation and in-service training of employees to meet federal, state and local regulations, as well as organizational goals and assists with clinical care delivery within the extended care setting. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and clinical abilities be experienced in infection control surveillance and trending possess the ability to evaluate the competencies of licensed and certified staff and provide corrective instruction have the ability to manage multiple projects well be a positive communicator and active listener be a enthusiastic and passionate about work, life and caring for people As a team member at Windemere Park, you can expect to make a difference through your work. ) Daily responsibilities of
Infection Control:
Monitor and investigate known or suspected sources of infections in order to determine the source and ensure control Review, analyze, and implement regulations, standards, and/or guidelines of government agencies. Report infection observation, prevention and control to local, state and federal public health authorities in accordance with law and regulation. All other duties as assigned. Education and/or
Experience:
Graduate of a registered nursing degree program of college or university. BSN is preferred. Experience in quality improvement, change management, Fall Management, Infection Control and standards of LTC educational requirements and documentation guidelines. Experience teaching adult learners preferred Basic computer skills required including experience with Microsoft Office, internet and web applications, Power Point and Excel.
