Responsibilities of an
Infection Preventionist:
Identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting trends in healthcare-associated infections. Collaborate with the facility teams and individuals to implement and sustain infection prevention strategies Ensure compliance with the facility's infection prevention and control program Provide education and participate in the quality assurance and quality assessment committee. Qualifications for an
Infection Preventionist:
Nursing license in good standing in the state of New Jersey Valid BLS Certification (CPR) Associate degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field. Has completed specialized training in infection prevention and control. Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology preferred. Benefits for the
