Hiring Range:
$188,665- $276,592 Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations UMass Memorial Health, the largest healthcare system in Central Massachusetts and the clinical partner of UMass Chan Medical School, invites applications for a board-certified or board-eligible Infectious Disease physician to serve as Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control within UMass Memorial Medical Center.
Role:
The Associate Medical Director will provide leadership within the Infection Prevention and Control program while maintaining active clinical practice in Infectious Diseases. This individual will work closely with institutional leadership and infection prevention specialists to advance strategic initiatives focused on patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the physician will serve as an attending on inpatient and outpatient Infectious Disease services, with the opportunity to practice in general Infectious Diseases and/or Transplant Infectious Diseases.Key Highlights:
Provide physician leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of Infection Prevention and Control programs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance system-wide initiatives in patient safety and quality improvement Support ongoing efforts that have established UMass Memorial Medical Center as a leader in infection prevention, including maintaining low rates of healthcare-associated infections Participate in inpatient and outpatient Infectious Disease clinical services Contribute to institutional education and training related to infection prevention practices Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits packageClinical and Programmatic Environment:

This position includes an academic appointment at UMass Chan Medical School at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic mission through: Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows Participation in clinical research and/or quality improvement initiatives Engagement in scholarly activities, including opportunities focused on infection prevention and care for underserved populationsWhat We're Looking For:
