Job Description

The Epidemiologist is responsible for investigating patterns and causes of disease and injury. Typically, the Epidemiologist works in an office and/or laboratory setting within state/local government health departments, hospitals and/or universities. The epidemiologist is responsible for design, implementation, and analysis of epidemiological investigations or studies and participating in general data management and report writing for epidemiological investigations or studies.
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • + Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, biostatistics, or a related field is generally preferred (a master's degree may be required per contract) + Two (2) years' experience in their field within the last four (4) years preferred + Certification/Licensure may be required per state/contract + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age •Benefits•At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs •Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
