  • Friday 4
  • 10-hour shifts or 5
  • 8-hour shift with on call rotation. Department highlights:

Here's What You Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Microbiology, Medical Technology or related field Required OR
  • Master's Degree Public Health Required
  • 2 Years acute care hospital, alternate care setting (Rehab, LTC, SNU), or infectious disease epidemiology Req
  • RN•Registered Nurse If bachelor's degree in nursing Upon Hire Required • MT(ASCP)•Medical Technologist if bachelor's degree in microbiology, Medical Technology or Biology Upon Hire Required • M(ASCP)•Microbiology if bachelor's degree in microbiology, Medical Technology or Biology Upon Hire Required • CIC•Certification in Infection Prevention and Control completed within 3 years after hire.
What You Will Do:
  • Collaborates on development of an annual IP plan, based on population(s) served and services provided, and collects/analyzes data to determine effectiveness of the plan.
  • Utilizes epidemiological principles to conduct surveillance and participates in outbreak investigations.
  • Designs and provides education programs based on the needs of staff, patients, students, and visitors.
  • Pursues/achieves/maintains required, applicable certification and licensure.
  • Advances program goals through collaborative relation
  • Conducts IPC rounds, based on annual and periodic risk assessments, to ensure compliance with IPC standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors and analyzes process and outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of process improvements.
