Competitive salary (DOE) with open compensation discussion About the Role We are seeking an experienced Food Scientist to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an R D professional who thrives in high-speed production settings and enjoys collaborating across teams to bring innovative products from concept to commercialization. Experience in dairy manufacturing and aseptic production is strongly preferred. What You'll Be Doing
Product Development:
Formulate and develop new frozen and packaged food products from concept to launch.
Research & Testing:
Conduct experiments, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies to ensure product quality and performance.
Scale-Up & Commercialization:
Lead the transition from bench-top prototypes to full-scale manufacturing.
Food Safety & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, SQF, and GFSI.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with marketing, packaging, quality assurance, and operations teams.
Innovation:
Stay current on food science trends and apply new technologies within dairy and frozen dessert manufacturing. What You'll Need
Experience:
5+ years in a Food Scientist or R D role within a food & beverage manufacturing facility
Experience working in high-speed, sanitation-driven environments
Dairy manufacturing and/or aseptic processing experience preferred
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or a related field
Master's degree preferred for advanced-level roles
Technical Skills:
Strong foundation in food chemistry, microbiology, and processing
Hands-on experience with sensory and analytical testing
Familiarity with frozen dessert manufacturing processes
Certifications (Preferred):
HACCP, SQF, GFSI
