This role involves developing foundational expertise in food research and development, focusing on the exploration and characterization of food materials and ingredients. The individual supports various functional tasks while beginning to apply professional judgment to moderately complex problems. They communicate effectively to share information and reach agreements, contributing to the discovery, development, and scale-up of new raw materials, formulas, and process technologies. Working independently under general supervision, the role requires a developing understanding of relevant tools, processes, and the broader context. The individual is expected to analyze issues, suggest minor improvements, and recommend adjustments to products, processes, programs, and policies to enhance effectiveness for themselves and others, thereby supporting business growth through innovation in food research.
Accountabilities 1. Support Research Activities The role supports fundamental and applied food research activities, including materials characterization and R and D knowledge development. It completes assigned research tasks following established procedures. This contributes to scientific understanding. 2. Assist Discovery Efforts The role assists in discovery and development of new materials and ingredients. It supports experiments and collects observations. This advances research exploration. 3. Execute Assigned Tasks The role executes assigned technical tasks accurately and timely. It follows protocols and procedures established by senior researchers. This maintains quality standards. 4. Maintain Laboratory Environment The role maintains laboratory environment and equipment cleanliness. It follows safety procedures and reports issues. This supports safe operations. 5. Document Observations The role documents observations and findings from research activities. It maintains accurate records following established formats. This supports data integrity.
