Job Description

JOB TITLE
Senior Regulatory and Technical Specialist
II LOCATION
Remote/Hybrid
JOB SUMMARY
The Regulatory and Technical Specialist works with the Technical Services team to maintain detailed technical information for raw materials, formulas, and finished products and provide regulatory guidance to other internal teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide regulatory guidance to project teams, including reviews of packaging graphics. Complete customer forms requiring technical product information and maintain customer web portals. Maintain raw material information in Specright database. Communicating with raw material suppliers to request product information and documentation. Submit requests for product certifications, including Non-GMO Project, Organic, Kosher, GFCO, etc. Respond to Customer Service and Sales team inquiries related to product allergens, claims, GMO content, etc. Create and maintain nutrition labels and ingredient statements. Conduct research, as needed, to stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and guidance issued by government bodies, including FDA, USDA, and
FTC. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in a scientific field (Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, or other relevant field) or a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience 3 years of work experience in the food industry Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, experience with international regulations is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, and comfortable learning new computer applications Experience with Smartsheet, Specright, and/or Salesforce is a plus Attention to detail and accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to problem solve Self-motivator
