Quality & Sanitation Supervisor Position Summary The R&D Specialist is responsible for developing, improving, and commercializing products to support business growth and innovation. This role works cross-functionally with production, quality, and operations teams to ensure new and existing products meet company standards for safety, quality, cost, and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Develop new product formulations from concept through commercialization Improve existing products to enhance quality, reduce costs, or increase efficiency Conduct product trials, testing, and validations within the facility Collaborate with production teams to scale up formulas and processes Ensure all products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements Create and maintain product documentation, including formulas, specifications, and SOPs Support troubleshooting of production or quality issues related to formulations Conduct shelf-life studies and sensory evaluations Research industry trends, ingredients, and technologies to drive innovation Work closely with procurement on ingredient sourcing and cost optimization Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the facility Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field (preferred) 2-5 years of experience in R&D, preferably in food manufacturing (wafer, chocolate, or confectionery experience a plus) Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP) Experience with product formulation and scale-up processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation systems Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Key Competencies Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and collaboration across departments Self-starter with the ability to work independently Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Working Conditions Combination of office, lab, and production floor environment May require standing for extended periods during trials Must follow all safety and PPE requirements when in production areas
Pay:
$27.00 - $29.00 per hour
