Full Time About the Role An established environmental consulting practice is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager / Senior Geologist (PG) to lead environmental site investigation and remediation projects and provide technical and strategic oversight across a diverse project portfolio. This role is ideal for a licensed geologist who is ready to own projects, manage clients and regulators, and mentor staff while remaining technically engaged. What You'll Do Serve as Project Manager for environmental investigation and remediation projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and legal counsel Develop and manage scopes of work, schedules, and project budgets, including forecasting and change management Lead site investigation and remediation strategy development, including data interpretation and regulatory pathway planning Review and approve technical work products to ensure regulatory compliance and defensibility Oversee subcontractors (drillers, laboratories, surveyors, remediation contractors) and manage field execution Provide senior-level technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level staff Evaluate historical site data and current investigation results to inform remedial decisions and closure strategies Participate in regulatory negotiations and support permitting, compliance, and response-to-comments efforts Conduct or oversee field audits focused on safety, data quality, and adherence to work plans Support litigation-related evaluations, expert support, and allocation matters as needed Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client relationship management Perform limited hands-on fieldwork as needed, including oversight of drilling, sampling, and remedial activities Qualifications Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field Professional Geologist (PG) license (California preferred or transferable) 7+ years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation consulting Demonstrated experience managing environmental projects and multidisciplinary teams Strong understanding of soil and groundwater remediation , including chlorinated solvent sites Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills OSHA 40-hour
HAZWOPER
