Under the direction of the Supervisor of Mine Reclamation and Senior Engineering Geologist (Supervisor), the Engineering Geologist will function as a technical specialist for review of reclamation plans and financial assurances under SMARA. The incumbent will perform activities associated with the implementation of SMARA both independently as well as in a team environment. The incumbent is expected to review, amongst other documents, reclamation plans and financial assurances, maintain the administrative record, and conduct field inspections of surface mining operations for adequacy of financial assurances and compliance with the approved reclamation plan and State mining law. The incumbent will provide comment on the adequacy of reclamation plans, financial assurances, and reclamation of surface mining operations, with respect to approved reclamation plans and
SMARA. ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
