Project Geologist

Job Description AN employer in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Project Geologist for a top environmental consulting client. This individual will lead and manage environmental investigation projects, balancing technical execution with client-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable in the field, confident managing project budgets and schedules, and skilled at coordinating multidisciplinary teams. • Manage environmental site investigation projects from planning through execution
• Prepare and oversee: Work plans, Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, and technical reports
• Coordinate and oversee: Field scientists, Engineers. and Environmental technicians
• Track project
• Budgets, Labor hours, Expenses, and Change orders
• Facilitate client meetings
• Support proposal development and work with internal team

• Bachelor's degree (Environmental Science, Geology Natural Resource Management, Environmental / Geotechnical Engineering or related fields)
• Prior environmental consulting experience (not lab-only)
• 4+ years' Experience with Environmental site investigations, Soil sampling, and environmental sampling
• 5+ Project management experience
• Clean and Valid driver's license
• Eligible to work on state-regulated sites
• Master's degree
• PG (Professional Geologist) certification
• 40-hour

HAZWOPER

certification

• Experience working on Michigan-based projects
• Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
