Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Geologist to join our team. This role involves a mix of field coordination, technical reporting, and project management. You will have a solid foundation in geological principles, experience working with field teams, and the ability to manage multiple projects from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare clear, accurate, and well-organized geological and technical reports Coordinate and oversee field staff during site investigations and data collection Plan and manage projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation Analyze geological data and interpret findings to support project objectives Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards Communicate project updates to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders Assist with proposal development and project planning
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field (Master's preferred) 5-10 years of relevant professional experience Strong report writing and data interpretation skills Experience coordinating fieldwork and supervising staff Demonstrated project management abilities Familiarity with GIS, geological modeling software, or related tools is a plus Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
Professional Geologist (PG) license or progress toward licensure Experience in environmental, energy-related, or geotechnical projects (depending on company focus) Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities We know that great work happens when people feel supported both on and off the job.
