Project Manager About Us Hydro2Geotech (H2G) LLC is a growing geotechnical and environmental instrumentation firm. We are seeking a motivated Geologist / Field Engineer I to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a background in engineering geology, civil engineering, or a related field who are eager to build hands-on technical experience in a dynamic, field-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Field Operations Install and maintain geotechnical and environmental monitoring instruments, including seismographs, sound level meters, inclinometers, and extensometers Conduct site visits to document existing conditions of structures and improvements using photos and video Perform field maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and battery replacements Support project mobilization, site logistics, and marketing activities Travel to project sites across multiple states as required Office & Administrative Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring reports with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy Develop monitoring plans and coordinate equipment procurement Manage and organize equipment inventory in the office, field vehicles, and on-site Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement Qualifications Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (relevant coursework considered) Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, geologists, general contractors, and subcontractors Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time Preferred Background or coursework in engineering geology, geotechnical instrumentation, or environmental monitoring Experience with surveying, mapping, or civil engineering fieldwork Familiarity with software tools or basic programming What We're Looking For A self-starter who goes the extra mile to deliver safe, high-quality results for our clients.
