Job Title:
Hydrogeologist Job Description As a Hydrogeologist, you will play a pivotal role in managing projects while gaining extensive experience in planning, design, and implementation. You will be involved in a variety of responsibilities, including site analysis, data collection, and communication with senior geologists. Responsibilities Prioritize safety in all operations. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Karst Geology and water. Perform assignments using standard criteria, procedures, and techniques. Conduct surveys and field studies to gather geological data. Prepare field and final soil boring logs. Analyze material samples using various collection techniques. Gather soil samples for geotechnical and chemical analysis. Utilize maps, aerial photos, satellite imagery, geochemical surveys, GIS data, and other sources for site analysis. Communicate findings through formal and informal reports. Assist in preparing reports and correspondence related to assigned projects. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Geology, or related field. Five or more years of applicable experience. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Availability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments. Expertise in Hydrogeology, Environmental remediation, and Groundwater modeling. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with phase 1 and phase 2 assessments. Experience in groundwater sampling and Karst studies. Operationally sound in managing one's own book of business. Experience in Hydrology, Environmental engineering, Project management, Erosion, and Field sampling. Work Environment The role offers hybrid flexibility after the first month of daily office attendance. You will be part of a new team in a brand new office in Frederick, working alongside three other techs in the CAD Tech team. There are opportunities for overtime and participation in company events every quarter. The position involves working on a diverse portfolio, including land environmental compliance and site field assessments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
