Principal Environmental Engineer or Geologist Location:
Raleigh-Durham This is a principal-level opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to help grow an established presence in the Raleigh-Durham market with a privately owned firm. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys expanding upon an existing foundation, leveraging current projects, clients, and infrastructure, while playing a key part in scaling operations and contributing to the development of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Build upon an existing regional practice by expanding client relationships and supporting steady growth across the Raleigh-Durham area Support the continued development of a local office, including team growth, mentoring, recruiting, and overall operational support Manage and grow a portfolio of site assessment and remediation projects for industrial, commercial, and manufacturing clients while providing technical leadership and oversight Mentor project teams and provide technical guidance to drive quality, consistency, and professional development across staff Represent the firm externally through industry organizations, conferences, and technical publications while supporting broader strategic growth initiatives
Qualifications:
10 (ten) or more years of experience as an engineer, geologist, or hydrogeologist focused on environmental investigation and remediation projects Professional licensure required (PE or PG) Experience supporting business development efforts, with an understanding of client relationship management and revenue contribution expectations Background working with industrial, commercial, and/or manufacturing clients Interest in contributing to the growth of an existing team and regional presence
