Collaborating with the mining department to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution
Leading, supervising and mentoring graduate geologists and geology technicians
Contributing to JORC-compliant grade control and resource models through sound geological interpretation
Ensuring timely and accurate collation of geological data including QAQC, and communicating geological understanding across all departments
What you'll bring
Bachelor of Science in Geology or Geosciences
Previous underground experience in a similar mine geology role within the mining industry
Proficiency in geology and mine planning software (Surpac, Micromine and/or Leapfrog)
Solid understanding of grade control drilling program design
Competent knowledge of complex gold mineralisation systems, underground mining methods and Archean greenstone systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
National Police Clearance and a "C" class Western Australian driver's licence
Experience in block modelling and estimation, EOM reconciliation, and exposure to blast vector indicator monitoring will be highly regarded.
