Bachelor's DegreeDescriptionA multi-discipline engineering firm is seeking a Senior Acoustical Consultant. The role may be based in one of several regional offices within the Southeast.

ResponsibilitiesGather and analyze acoustical data, including field measurements such as reverberation time, sound transmission, impact isolation, vibration, and mechanical noise.
Perform design work in areas including architectural acoustics, sound isolation, equipment noise and vibration control, environmental acoustics, industrial noise control, forensic site investigation, and computer modeling/auralization.
Coordinate with internal and external disciplines, including architecture, interior design, audiovisual, MEP, and structural engineering teams.
Prepare drawings, sketches, and reports to document findings and recommendations.
Manage projects and coordinate with clients.
Lead and mentor technical staff and consultants.
Share knowledge and provide guidance to team members.
Travel as needed (approximately 10-20%).Participate in relevant professional organizations is encouraged.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and acoustics modeling software (e.g., INSUL, AIM, VA Design, Treble, EASE, ODEON).Experience with additional tools such as REVIT or environmental noise modeling software preferred.
Knowledge of structural vibration measurement, design, and control preferred.
Professional association membership preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain quality control.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field required.
Advanced degree with a focus on architectural acoustics or noise control preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting engineering or related industry.
