Job Description
The Clinical Laboratory Associate is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results to supervisors or directors. The role requires performing high complexity tests authorized by the laboratory director, demanding a degree of skill aligned with the individual's education, training, or experience. Responsibilities Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results. Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens. Adhere to quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed. Follow established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within acceptable levels of performance. Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problems or notify the appropriate supervisor or director. Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications. Perform statistical analysis and review of quality control testing data. Demonstrate expertise with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and equipment software. Essential Skills Specimen processing Quality control Verification of Assays Pipetting Chemistry

Inspection ELISA Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological sciences. Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training. 60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution including medical laboratory technology or science courses. Completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved by ABHES, NAACLS, or similar organizations. At least three months of documented laboratory training in each specialty for high complexity testing. Ability to perform accessioning without direct supervision with independent verification of manual data entries. Competence in testing without direct supervision with independent review of assay acceptance criteria. Ability to enter test results without direct supervision with independent verification of manual data entries. Work Environment The work environment offers a small company, start-up feel with about 25 employees, providing innovation and agility with the security and financial backing of a parent company. The lab associates have opportunities for career growth into R D projects, including verification of assays and product development. Core working hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, with shifts typically covering either 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm. The position will report to a supervisor and requires covering the end of the day due to instrument capacity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broomfield, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $27.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
