Job Summary:
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (housed within the School of Pharmacy) seeks affiliates who can teach both lectures and laboratory classes in a variety of drug development areas.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach from a wide variety of courses in the Department of Pharmaceutical Science depending on needs of the Department and qualifications of applicant. Normal duties will be those associated with preparation and teaching lectures and/or laboratories, keeping complete and accurate grade records, adequately evaluating student performance, and appropriately using class time. Affiliate faculty are part-time employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, as needed, on a semester-by- semester basis. Affiliate Faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University's benefit program. All such teaching assignments are dependent on budget and enrollment. An Affiliate faculty member's duties include: meeting assigned classes consistent with University, College, and Department policies; providing instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, with Department course coordination policies; and being available, either face-to-face or electronically, to students in assigned classes to provide additional academic support as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment.
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD, PharmD, MD or RN with 0-5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry. MS with at least 5-10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry. BS with at least 10+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry Relevant teaching experience. Special Instructions to

Work Schedule:
per course contract/remote/hybrid This position will remain open until filled with a priority application deadline of January 30th, 2026. Benefits-eligible for workers' compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
Pay Rate:
$4,200 per course contract
