Greenstaff Medical PPS is seeking experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join leading neonatal care teams throughout Florida. These opportunities offer the chance to work in advanced neonatal intensive care environments while providing high-quality care to newborns and their families. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neonatology to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive neonatal care within a hospital setting, supporting critically ill newborns, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in neonatal intensive care, advanced clinical skills, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to advancing neonatal health through innovative practices and evidence-based medicine. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of neonatal patients, including vital signs, neurological status, and respiratory function. Manage acute and chronic neonatal conditions utilizing advanced clinical protocols, including ventilator management and airway support. Administer medications, injections, and treatments such as botulinum toxin when appropriate for specific conditions. Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory tests, imaging studies, and clinical research data collection to inform treatment plans. Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation, order entry, and data management. Participate in hospital-based initiatives including triage, emergency response, and level II or level I trauma center protocols. Engage in telehealth consultations to extend neonatal care services remotely when applicable. Support discharge planning by coordinating follow-up care, patient education, and family support services. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies while ensuring patient safety through aseptic techniques and infection control practices. INDITP Requirements Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Active Florida license or ability to obtain. Minimum of two years of neonatal intensive care experience within a hospital environment; level I or II NICU experience preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with eClinicalWorks is advantageous. Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures including ventilator management, airway management, and use of neonatal ventilators. Knowledge of medical coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding for accurate documentation. Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques including spinal taps (lumbar punctures), radiology interpretation, and laboratory testing. Familiarity with acute pain management strategies and sedation protocols specific to neonates. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to neonatal care, and medical terminology. Ability to perform physical examinations accurately and assess patient conditions effectively under pressure. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and family education.
