Medical AffairsReporting to: Head of Medical Affairs ItalyThe OpportunityAs a Medical Science Liaison, you are a field-based medical professional responsible for providing high-quality medical and scientific information for Seqirus vaccines, with a strong focus on Italy.
In this role, you work closely with colleagues across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and other functions to ensure all activities are aligned with strategic objectives and fully compliant with local regulations and internal standards.
You play a key role in building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare decision-makers, and external stakeholders, contributing to improved influenza prevention and public health outcomes across Italy. The RoleCommunicate relevant, accurate, and updated approved medical information to healthcare professionals at local, regional, and national levels, including key opinion leaders, decision-makers, professional associations, payer groups, and public health stakeholdersProvide balanced, scientifically sound responses to unsolicited medical inquiries in full compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelinesDeliver scientific presentations aligned with European and Global Medical Affairs strategiesBuild and maintain trusted relationships with external stakeholders and act as a scientific partner to the medical communityFacilitate communication between healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, and Medical AffairsSupport company-sponsored clinical trials, collaborative research, and investigator-initiated studies in accordance with internal proceduresContribute to awareness and education initiatives in close collaboration with cross-functional teamsGather and share customer insights to support the development and refinement of medical strategiesProvide internal scientific expertise, including support for training, medical content development, and review processesCollaborate closely with Market Access, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Communications, Customer Services, and Medical Affairs teams locally and across EMEAEnsure full compliance with all internal policies, external regulations, and codes of practiceParticipate in mandatory compliance training and contribute to internal approval and signatory processesAct consistently in line with company values and expected behaviorsYour Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience following the final stage of training, including at least 2 years in clinical practice, research, or healthcare education, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industryStrong background in infectious diseases, epidemiology, vaccines, or public healthFluency in Italian and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective professional relationshipsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a field-based environment with strong prioritization and decision-making skillsProficiency in digital tools and platforms, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual engagement technologiesAbility to adapt to new technologies and effectively document medical interactionsWillingness to travel extensively across Italy and occasionally internationally (approximately 50-60%)About CSL SeqirusCSL Seqirus is part of CSL.
