HJF is seeking a Scientist II to develop and supervise research projects. Investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions, products and problems. Develops new technologies and protocols. This position will be in support of USU Department of Anesthesiology / Defense & Veterans Consortium for Integrative Pain Management (DVCIPM). This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of qualitative science, healthcare innovation, and artificial intelligence. We are seeking a Scientist with strong qualitative research expertise to support an innovative healthcare research initiative focused on the development of patient-centered clinical support tools (CSTs), including AI-enabled solutions. This role will contribute to literature synthesis, framework development, and qualitative research protocol design aimed at improving patient-friendly communication of spinal radiological reports. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals. This is a temporary, part time position scheduled for up to 15 hours per week.
