U.S. Citizenship required Responsibilities Provide scientific analysis and technical support for cosmetic product registration, ingredient safety assessments, adverse event reporting, and policy development activities supporting FDA-related initiatives. Analyze information available through FDA reporting systems, including product listings and adverse event reports, to support compliance activities and risk assessment efforts. Evaluate product registration and listing information to identify potential safety concerns and trends. Support ingredient safety assessments and scientific evaluations of cosmetic products. Assist in the interpretation and assessment of ingredient-related data for regulatory and compliance purposes. Support the development and enhancement of analytical tools used for compliance monitoring and cosmetic product risk assessments. Assist in leveraging facility registration, product listing, and adverse event data to improve regulatory oversight efforts. Facilitate product association and data integration across multiple systems to support comprehensive cosmetic product safety evaluations. Prepare and deliver timely reports related to product listings, facility registrations, and adverse event findings. Analyze data trends and provide scientific recommendations regarding potential follow-up actions or areas requiring additional investigation. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate findings and support decision-making processes. Provide scientific input toward the development of guidance documents, policies, and procedures related to cosmetic product and ingredient data analysis. Support regulatory initiatives by evaluating scientific evidence and contributing subject matter expertise. Assist in developing recommendations that promote consumer safety and regulatory compliance. Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetic Science, Biochemistry, Toxicology, or a related scientific discipline. Demonstrated expertise in cosmetic formulations, pharmaceutical sciences, botanicals, ingredient chemistry, or related areas. Knowledge of product development, manufacturing processes, scale-up activities, analytical methods, and quality specifications. Experience analyzing scientific, regulatory, or safety-related data. Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex scientific information and communicate findings effectively. U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting FDA-regulated industries, particularly cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or consumer products. Familiarity with FDA reporting systems, product registration databases, adverse event reporting, and regulatory compliance activities. Experience with data analysis, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory policy development. Knowledge of botanical ingredients and their use in cosmetic products.
