Full Job Description Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to support market-wide lab operations and lead key initiatives across multiple hospital sites. This role is based out of the Maryview core lab and will have oversight responsibilities across four hospitals, working closely with leadership, quality teams, and lab staff to drive operational efficiency and major system implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide operational oversight across 4 hospital laboratory sites within the market Lead and support large-scale projects, including LIS transition to EPIC Beaker Collaborate with leadership to manage workflows, staffing coordination, and process improvements Oversee quality initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Manage and support a team of 7 direct reports (Quality Coordinators & Managers) Influence and support a broader lab team of ~125 staff across the market Travel weekly between sites to maintain visibility and support operations Assist with budget oversight and resource allocation Maintain strong communication across departments and leadership teams

Qualifications:

MLS (ASCP) certification - required Minimum 5+ years of laboratory experience Experience working across multiple sites or health systems Proven experience managing or supporting large-scale projects (LIS/EPIC Beaker strongly preferred) Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills Experience with budget oversight and operational decision-making

Schedule & Compensation:

40 hours/week (generally 8-hour days) Weekly salaried compensation (flexible based on experience) Local candidates considered at adjusted rate (-$10 differential) Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term growth potential

Additional Details:

Based at Maryview core lab with required travel to 4 hospitals in the market Oversight of 7 direct reports and ~125 lab staff across sites Interview process will begin following clinical review by BSMH team

Pay:

$90.00 - $93.00 per hour
