Job Description

Project Appointment Student Medical College of Wisconsin parental leave, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, 403(b) United States, Wisconsin, Milwaukee May 13, 2026 Summary A Project Appointment-STUDENT (PA-STUDENT) classification is utilized at MCW for students for the purposes of furthering his or her education. In order to qualify for this position, student status must be proven. Primary Responsibilities Design and perform laboratory procedures and experiments with minimal supervision. Manage and operate laboratory equipment with minimal supervision. Participate in meetings with principal investigator and research staff. Conduct drug efficacy and toxicology studies. Evaluate and interpret the validity of data, develop methodologies, evaluate laboratory procedures. Retrieve information from library and computerized databases; assist in preparation of manuscripts and presentations. Maintain supplies, may negotiate with vendors, and track purchase orders. Maintain equipment, perform/supervise repairs, and update computer hardware and software. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge

Work Environment Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment. Sensory Acuity Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
