Medical Laboratory Scientist

Vernon Memorial Healthcare is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Laboratory Services team. This position functions as a Generalist, demonstrating full competency across laboratory departments and performing a broad scope of testing procedures for patients of all ages. Position Responsibilities Perform and report a variety of laboratory analyses from multiple specimen sources. Function independently as a Generalist across laboratory departments. Maintain accuracy, quality, and timeliness of test results. Assist with laboratory quality improvement projects. Participate in operational support activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Adhere to all laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Experience Minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience strongly preferred Education & Certifications Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited: Medical Technology (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) program OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in: Biological science Chemical science Clinical laboratory science with ASCP categorical certification ASCP certification preferred Current CPR certification required NEW graduates encouraged to apply

7 days on / 7 days off

Primarily:

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday :

8:00 PM - 7:00

AM Saturday and Sunday :

6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Rotating holidays required

Wage:

Starting at $28.53 with increase depending on experience
